I have made a diving helmet and I would like to add about five materials to it. I have some custom ones and and two from TS. I am work in workspace and I can add one but not able to get any other to go to where I would like them. Can someone gave me a hint on how or where to look for how this is done.

If the materials in question include bitmaps have you applied uv?

The materials panel has some buttons which include a funnel shape, a paint brush and a roller. The paint brush applies a material to one poly at a time (or if you have preselected the polys and then click the paint brush it should just paint those). The funnel paints the whole object with the current material and the roller overpaints all the polys of a given material - which may or may not be the whole object depending on what you have already done.

Thanks Burnart Well that did it But I am sure I tried all that. Every time I pick a material it would change all the model before I pick a tool I came up with some odd looking diving helmets :D again thanks

Double clicking a material in a library will not only load it to the ME, it will also paint over the entire selected object with that material too. This is something I would like changed and the request is in the beta process (no guarantee it will be accepted though).

Alternatives - don't double click but instead right click once and choose "load" (loads into ME, does not paint object); or always select a blank object before double clicking.

HTH!
