May I asked how do you change the bitmap on the Refl_Refrac_Shader block in a Reflect a Materials Like the shiny metal material. I have tried to pull a bitmap to the Refl_Refrac_Shader block but that not the way.

In the Material Editor panel click on the Default tab for the D3D material and select Reflection from the dropdown menu. Control-click the thumbnail and browse to the image you want to use. Apply the results to your object using the funnel icon in the Material Editor.

If you want to remove the reflection completely, right-click on the reflection thumbnail and reset.

Thanks Heidi

I just knew there was a easy way to do it. I just keep playing with the LE and not thinking to look in the pull downs.

I do have one more question you may know. I seen a pic of a camera use to project the image on to a new object. Do you know of that ? If you do Was there a tutorial on that?

Again thanks for the help:)

You're probably referring to Render to Texture. Render to Texture allows you to render the scene into a texture and then reuse that texture (with real-time update) in a material.

That is covered in Chapter 5 (Surfacing), page 111 of the manual. Also there's a sample file in the Scenes - Base library (D3D TRT).

The other projection would be using a projector light, which allows you to project an image onto an object and light your scene with that projection. That is covered in Chapter 7 (Rendering), page 6 of the manual.

I haven't gone through the tutorials to know whether there's a video on either of those.
