Hello, can anyone direct me to information on building tank treads? I see one for those who use Maya, but I am not familiar with their terminology. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

For trueSpace tread-related stuff you almost have to start here:

what version of TS are you on, and will you be animating the treads?

Not at this time. Right now I am in the learning stages of Truespace. I am using 5.2. Thanks for the link!

Is there a way to link several items in a path (spline array?) so that I have one object that can be copied several times around a shape so each object is properly rotated? At this time I am not looking to animate. I have spent several hours trying to figure this out in Truespace and am getting nowhere. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

there is no native array tool in 5.2 that I can remember.. you could try this:

or maybe one of the others there:

if you're unfamiliar with the program, it would take a fairly lengthy tutorial to explain how to do it tonight.. and of course, in order to make the tutorial, I'd first have to figure out how to make a tank tread myself haha

are you going for high or low detail (ie realistic or game)

Thanks Chester for the link for Copyex. It is a good start for me and saves me time. I have used Truespace in the past (1.0, 3.2, 4.0) and now 5.2. The command icons look so different. I guess the more time I spend on it the better I will get on using it.
