I'm pretty sure that there will be an obvious reply about this issue, as usual...

I'm just wondering how to draw a spline on a 3d object... snapping on his surface , edges, vertex etc...

I tried the various "snap functions", but it doesen't seems working for that..

any advice?

Like most things in tS, a plugin comes to the rescue!
Take a look HERE (http://ckgamefactory.hp.infoseek.co.jp/tsxe.html)
Might be what you are looking for.

thank You spacekdet! a very sweet page!

but I meant something else... like the polygon draw tool in polygon modeling interface, able to draw a separated line from the objects..

Do you want to end up with a polygon, a NURBS curve, or a path?

a polygon...

I know that i can do it just using the poly draw tool, then detaching the face from object as new object... But this will mess up the original geometry...

The way around I found , is just duplicating the original object, detach the selected faces, and then delete the original object...

But i't's a bit complicated in this way...

If I'm understanding correctly (no guarantees!!) then what you're looking for is included in PolyTools. Check it here (http://ckgamefactory.hp.infoseek.co.jp/index-e.html).
