Hello.

I'm using TS 5.2 and I've just got a couple of questions about drawing on the DrawPanel.

1. How do you finish a polyline on the DrawPanel (i.e closing it)? The only way I've found is by selecting the "Close Curve" tool.

2. What's the difference between the "Add Polyline" and "Add Curve" tools?

3. When I use the "Sharp Corner" tool to make a polyline corner sharp, I can't adjust the handles of the corner without it reverting back to a "Smooth Corner". Then, when I click on "Sharp Corner" again the handles spring back to where they were to begin with.

So, is there a way to set a corner to sharp and at an angle that I want, not what TS wants?

Thanks for any help.

Kevin.

1. That's it, Close Curve. A curve can be open or closed, depending on what you need it for.

2. Add Curve has smoothing, Add Polyline has sharp corners.

3. Right click Add Polyline and uncheck the smooth edit checkbox.
Activate 'Change curve parameters for selected point only'
Hold the Control Key while you move the handle.

The angle of a sharp corner depends on the position of the point next to it. If it's a smooth corner, adjust the handles of that smooth one to get the desired result.

Thanks for the help guys.

That tip about holding down the Control button works a treat!

Thank you.
