Small thing. But a little annoyance has popped up. After creating an object, say any primitive and even after or before editing it, there is an error. When I hit view selected object the view moves to a position that is offset of the actually selected object. Not very far but at least several grid squares away. What is interesting is that this affects other aspects. Such as how said object interacts. If I turn on collision with ground then the object will not cause collision however it's "evil invisible twin" is what the collision seems to be based on. Usually stopping the object after it passes slightly through the grid. Also when I attempt to use the view widget to rotate the view around the object it first tries to rotate around the empty space where this offset is and after releasing the mouse once it then goes back to rotating around my object.

Also on another note I have duplicate view bars at the top of TS 7.1's window. Two Defaults,Two Full views, Two Daulviews, ect... I have read of someone else on the forum having the problem but I don't remember what info was given to fix that. I do not know if these are related.

So Is there some item that I need to move to keep the axis on my objects or is something sounding wrong here? Any info I can try would be appreciated. Thank you.

Sounds like something is wrong.

The view object and collision properties are determined by the bounding box for the object and the postion of it's axes.

If you create a primitive, do a show axes so you can see if they are centred on the object. In the model view there is also a display option to show bounding boxes only so you could try that as well. If a newly created primitive has problems then I'm not sure what to suggest except a reset to defaults.

Well I didn't find the one you told me to try. I found the Move Axes to center of Object button. That seems to work so far. I tried that once before though and had a repeat of the wierdness but it might have been me messing something up. At the moment it has cleared it up.

Now to figure out how to get rid of the duplicate set of view tabs at the top.

If the axis of a newly created object isn't in the object's center, then there's defenitly something wrong. Though I don't know how to fix it, except a reset/reinstall. The "show/hide axis" button is in the same icon group as "move axis to center". You will have to click that icon anyway, to make the axis disappear if you used any axis tool before. On a sidenote, when the axis is selected/shown, any translation that is done, will be done to the axis, not the object (you can also use numeric fields in the object info box).
