Hey all,

I have ts6.6. I'm learning to use true particles. When I create an object painted with a texture map and then explode the object, the object particles don't retain the texture map. They basically become a color that perhaps is in the texture map but the particles are just a solid color. I have a second question, but I don't want to get ahead of myself. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

try selecting face in the mapping options..it isn't available for all particle types..hth

Depending on the effect you are trying to achieve you may have to paint the emitter, use the face mapping option for the particles as shown below or select a mapped plane object you have already created as a 'picked object' particle.
