Where Is Scattering Shader ?? // New Users

In the TS manual near the beginning of the chapter on Radiosity (TS5.2 - page 282), it says:


"...you can simulate participating media in trueSpace using the

Foreground Shader-Scattering shader, which is faster and simulates this effect very well without the burden of radiosity processing. Most radiosity renderers also assume no participating media."


Can anyone tell me where to find the Scattering Shader? I do not find it among the foreground shaders such as fog or depth cue.


My purpose is to create shafts of light through dust. Can this be done with TS? It doesn't appear to happen with the fog.

It's under Advanced Volumetrics or really Scatter is Advanced Volumetrics(it seems).

Yes, this effect will be done using Volumetrics, or best yet, Advanced Volumetrics.
