Hiya..

I need some pointers with cameras.....

I need two different camera views of an object in one .scn file.. I have the 2 views in 2 seperate /scn files (done using save as.. then moving the camera).. how do I 'capture' the position of one of the cameras, and export/import into the other file?

Save the camera as an object. Open scene 2 and load that object. It's position etc should be retained.

Thanks for answering.. Actually - to explain a little more (sorry!) its not the camera - its the Perspective view that I need to be able to import/export.. Do I have to turn it into a camera?

Sounds like you need the fantastic FindCamera plugin! It's free and can be got here:

One of the most useful 'utility' plugins I've ever had, wiggle your view around 'til your happy, activate the plug and hit create camera to, well, create a camera that exactly matches your view. Also supports switching between multiple cameras, switching current view over to existing camera, blah, blah, blah. Can't recommend it enough.

Cool - thanks - I'll try that..
