Hello fellow trueSpace users. I am currently using trueSpace 5.1 (I upgraded to 7, but my computer could not handle it so I had to return it) and I am constructing a 'naked; temple for use in a video game, so it's fairly low-poly in count. I have constructed the base of the temple with curves around the corners. I had to edit the mesh manually to get the curveture I wanted (using the add-edges tool), but now that I have the sides of the base finished, I want to add a face on the "top" of the platform. I am kind of clueless as how it can be done.

I have provided a picture for reference here. Any help, actually, all help, is appriciated! :jumpy:

Can you not use the 'add face' tool in point edit mode? You may have to connect a couple of vertices to give a closed area but the add face tool sounds like what you need.

Thank you for providing that link hultek43, but I am working on a polyhedra model, not a nurbs. Sorry, I should have been more clear. :)
EDIT: Actually, I may just download that plugin and re-create the model in nurbs, and convert it to polyhedra. :) I'll just have to go in and delete the excess vertices by hand, if required.

TheWickedWitchOfTheWeb, I have tried using the "add face" tool in polygon edit mode, but it doesn't work the way I want it to. It will only add the faces on the sides of the mesh, not the top. I have the entire base connected by adding in new edges, so I don't really see a reason for it to not work.

I am happy to report that I fixed my little problem! I decided to re-construct the entire model and the "add face" tool worked on filling the top of the mesh with a valid face! :)

I want to thank you two for taking the time to respond. :)

Add face tool will create only planar faces. It's likely you didn't have all the vertexes in the same plane the first time you built the mesh, so the add face tool wouldn't work. If that's the case you can select all the vertexes in point edit mode and scale them in the relevant axis to make them co-planar. Add face will work then.

Oh, you're probably right Bobbins. :)

Thank you for that little tip!

Hiya.

I know this is a week old, and you fixed the problem (or it fixed itself), but there is a plug-in called "Solidify" that might work in tS 5.5. You can find a link to it here: http://www.lunadude.com/tS/tS-3dplugs.htm
