Hello,

I downloaded an .obj model for a test in on of the forums a while ago. (I think it was CGTalk). The point was to try this object with the attached .bmp texture to see if there's any glitches. I tried it in TS7 and another program. The result from truespace is not what I was expected.

This is how i connected the texture in TS7:

I opened the object and with painbrush i chose the texture shader and open the .bmp file. Actually nothing appeared so i clicked on of the uv icons to see some texture. Here's the result:

1- The first picture is in TS7.

2- The second picture is in another program,(somewhere in material editor i chose texturemap)

3- The .bmp file which happens to be the texture itself.

Please help me on getting this to work and what I should do. I think i'm doing it wrong and i should connect the bmp in another way.

I can provide the files if you want.

Regards,

... it looks as if the obj had default spherical mapping uv coords; as if obj didn't load any UV coordinates...

The pliugin was already inside my tsx directory and it works perfectly fine.

Glad it worked ;)
I don't have v.7 'to play with', but remember many old posts.
