Hey all! New user here looking for learning materials. I already grabbed the 'Getting Started with trueSpace7' videos, but I'm wondering if any of the older vids are relevant, or if the UI and toolsets are new enough to outdate some of them. Any advice would be appreciated.

BTW, I am absolutely loving the Link Editor from what I've seen in the videos so far. It really seems to tie the whole program together. Great stuff!

I don't know if you are on their mailing list yet. But they have a special on a package deal for ALL the videos now for tS6 about 1/10th their normal price.

Even if you are an experienced 3Der, these videos cover a lot of territory. Don't know how much applicability would in/exclude tS7 as I have tS6.6.

It may not be worth it for tS7 users, but for newbies like me, yes. :)

You can look at the content on the website, it covers a lot of basics. If you're already a 3D pro, then maybe not, but worth a look.

Most of the video courses are applicable to the Model side of tS7, as it is fairly equivelent if not identical to tS6.6 functionally.

At worst you would only be unable to find course content which might cover soft-selection and whatnot.

The "technique" related courses such as architechture, and organic would be equally as useful toward both versions. The advantage being that the techniques you refine using the courses, can be made more productive (at your own discretion) using the new tools unavailable before.

Thanks JPS. I'll probably avoid stuff involving technique, as I tend to just adjust my own based on the software. I've been reading talk about how the tools in modeler are being merged in with the player window eventually and that the mesh editing toolbar represents the first steps in that direction. It has a good chunk of the tools I would expect to see in any modeling tool already there from what I can see. I suppose if I needed any specifically I could look there.

I've been trudging through the manual and finding most of what I need so maybe I'll end up not needing much more after all.
