Was wondering if AVI files look good or do well on objects in tS.


Or can it be done?


For instance making a computer screen, have a AVI file load up on the screen. Or is this better done in post production work?

Yes it can be done.
Just apply the avi file via the 'texture map' shader. You can experiment with the cloud.avi found in your tS texture directory. Be sure to tic the 'anim' checkbox on the texture map properties (where you set the U/V repeats).
Instead of rendering the scene to a jpg file you render to an avi or flc file.
Tic the 'all frames from X to X' option. The animation should already match the number of frames in your animated texture.
It can be done entirely within tS if you want.

As Spacekdet says, I'd go ahead and apply the AVI texture to the object. Much easier than trying to do it in post and match the objects, especially if the viewpoint is animated. Here's a quick and dirty example I did for somebody a while back:
