The items in the D3D Shaders and Textures Libraries look pretty cool, but is there a way to import custom textures into the Player View? I tried dragging an image from the Image Browser into the link editor (inside entity's Material List), but nothing happened.

How do I import new textures into D3D view? How to create custom shaders?

Hi all,

I just figured it out. All you have to do is, in the Link Editor, open up the Material Entity and the Material List. Up the point where you actually find the D3D texture. From there, import a new picture file you want for the new texture into the bitmap library and grag it into the Link Editor. Now, connect the Image output connector to the NormalTexture input of the D3D Texture object. It allows for some really weird but good-looking effects.

It seems weird to answer my own post, but I figured it out on my own and I thought that if somebody had the same question, they would probably want an answer.
