Hello,

No matter what I do when I press the 'render scene' the render method changes back to scanline.


Did I change something somewhere that might cause this?

I'm using an HDRI for the light and here's my setting in the picture. same thing happens when i change to the player.

It looks like it is locked to scanline :(

check that the bridge state is set to on.

this should resolve the issue.

Hello,

Well I set it to on (it was auto) and i put it as synch from modeler.

and my Synchmethod is smart synch and the synch bridge is set to 30.


But still after rendering it jumps back to scanline.:confused:

If you set the bridge to on you may or may not have this problem due to your work size. But if you set it to off it will render and stay in raycast mode but it is not safe anymore.

As I read in the manual page 106(134 of adobe), if you have it on Auto, it should automatically be turned off when you are using the modeler and turned on when you are using the Player. Mine does not change in the auto mode and it always appears to be on. May it is be because I have more than 150 objects with details on the models.

Hi, the amount of objects should not be an issue here.


If you use the icons in the render toolbar and choose raycast, do the settings stay.


I cannot seem to replicate this scenario here on my machines .


Is the render to screen showing changes you make or is it rendering using the settings that are in the panel when it reverts back.

hmmmmmmmm....

very strange!


It seems what ever I choose in the ICON of render toolbar will be chosen NOT what i choose in the Photorender toolbar.



Is the render to screen showing changes you make or is it rendering using the settings that are in the panel when it reverts back.


Assuming that mutithreading is only activated in the Ray Cast mode, I get raycast whenever i choose it in the icon bar. Same for the scanline.


Isn't it suppose to be twodirectional when you make chages ?

I think all icons are affected by any change in the Photorender toolbar EXCEPT Render Method. Try change something at photorender and look how it affects the icon bar of render.
