Hi all,

I was using the GamePak with Truespace 6.6 for my gamedev needs and it worked kind of well. I was wondering what will be happening with the GamePak to get it TS7 compatible and also if there will be any updates to the exporters?

Thanks :)

Hi all,

Compatibility issues with all paks and plug-ins from Caligari are being worked on. Many of those issues are in fact installation issues, the installer tends to see the tS6.6 libraries (if you don't uninstall tS6.6 when you install tS7) and jump straight to those - or if you do uninstall, it fails to find the tS6.6 libraries and stops.

That, and any other issues that may prove to be more compatibility-based, are being looked into and resolved. No plans to update the plug-ins during this process, the focus will be solely on compatibility.

HTH!

Tom

Thanks for replying. :) It'll be good to get the GamePak working as I need the exporters.

Thanks again :)

Any update or perhaps projected date of when the Plugin Installers will be made compatible?

I have both the Conversion Paks and I-Pak that will not install into TS 7 even when I point them to the right place - they can't find the 6.6 files.

I also have 4 CD's that came with my 6.6 purchase - ani-Pak, de-Pak, ray-Pak, and fx-Pak. I haven't tried these yet, but if they too refuse to install, what can be done - they are on CD, so not as easily changed as the online Pak installers.

Admittedly, I haven'tz tried to install them, I am just going by the fact that the others won't install into TS 7.

Any new news on this?

Thanks,

judee

AFAIK, you don't need to install the I-Pak into tS7, as it's built in already.

Yes, multilayer render is built into TS7-no need for i-pak. If you have conversion Pak installed in TS6.6 you can just copy the files over to TS7. They were posted in another thread I believe...:)
