so.,... people are voting but not commenting....
Here is my comment.
I've been MIA for most of the past few weeks dealing with real life. Haven't had time to even open TS, but since I still want to support it, I voted! |

Yes, Please comment. For me I was looking beyond single pose presentation. As in how would the model behave in showing different type of actions or emotions. So wire frame, morphability and strictly presented model was my guide. So texturing, rendering and background was a backseat for this one for my vote. My two cents. Now if you havn't vote please take a looky and vote! every vote counts! Plus feedback to the artists is always useful and needed. |

Could be a three way tie if we could add up all of Steinie votes :). |

Congratulations Nez! Not the first time we are so close:)
I am very pleased with my votes because this was my first serious attempt into organic modelling, thanks to Jack I must say.
I am curious what you come up with for the next challenge, there have been so many topics already...

Cheers Georg (And everyone else too) - it's certainly not the first time we've had a close race for top spot... I was very impressed by your 'organic' entry - I wasn't brave enough to try something like that myself, and a robot character was more in keeping with my previous MMC 'bot - and some others I have planned.
Thanks for all the kind words everyone, a pleasant surprise to get the win in the face of so many good entries. I have one or two ideas and hope to put the next challenge up later today; as Georg pointed out, there's been so many good topics already it's getting harder to choose one! Bit early for a Christmas theme... suggestions welcome...
NB Noko - we've already done clothing some time back (SMC 21, October 2007 - not a very good showing either) though obviously that was before the new cloth-sim tools were available... |

hows about a Heath Robinson" type machine? which where machines which where over complicated to do a very simple task, The breakfast machine in Wallace and Gromit is a very good example :)
just an idea, but it would probably be better as an MMC |

Quite a cool idea but think you're right that it would be better for an MMC - the Americans amongst us would be more familiar with 'Rube Goldberg' (spelling?) who came up with similar stuff....
Would be very cool to see such contraptions animated too....
I did actually model a heath-robinson-esque 'grilling machine' for the Barbecue SMC challenge a long time back which was quite fun... |

maybe we should have a challenge possibility list thread and stuff thats been done? It might avoid duplicate topics or save us from the "DOH" factor lol |

Yeah I've been thinking that for a while - people don't necessarily have to take up the suggestions, but it would be useful to have all the previous subjects listed concisely rather than going through the Gallery thread; I'll whip that up as I've got all the information to hand anyway.... |
