Nice!

Since the next TNL is next Thursday (December 13), you may want to be done by the 12th to give Caligari a chance to get the objects and put them on the tree.

Limit was indeed raised! Your ornaments can be up to 400Kb when submitted :) That extra space could be useful for some geometry or textures to add detail etc, so feel free to make use of it for the contest at least.

Thanks!

Tom

Isn't there a contest where winner gets 100 dollars to a charity too? I thought I saw that.

Think so, yes...

Here's some snowflakes I made a while back - have saved them as a single cob file (attached) - feel free to separate as required. Haven't included the textures I used as they were pretty rubbish anyway! Would be nice in a translucent plastic maybe...

Yes the contest is here:

http://www.caligari.com/TNL_Christmas07.asp

NOTE THAT ITEMS POSTED TO THIS THREAD ARE NOT ENTERED INTO THE CONTEST.

To take part in the contest you must mail them in, its the only way we can effectively process entries (too easy to miss something posted in a forum).

The chosen winner does get $100 donated to a charity of their choice by Caligari, and the chosen ornaments from that contest go into the shared space for our Holiday Special TNL! so do please enter if you want to see your ornament there on display in that meeting :)

Thanks!

Tom

Well, everything I make appears to be huge in size. :D

I made a popcorn string from meta balls and did polygon reduction, but still too big in a string (1.5mb.) So I included one kernel of popcorn. :D

A single chrome ornament - the one on left in image.

Nice ones!! I worked on a better Drop Ornament and tree topper...

The tree topper is two objects. Neither of these requires any special textures as I just used the basic Model space textures, as with my previous set.
