Sorry about the mispelled name Frootee. Didn't mean to do that to you. :o
I took a guess on titles for those of you who didn't provide one. Hopefully is to your liking.

Had a really tough time voting this one. Two choices especially were very close for me. And the 3rd was not very far behind. |

I just liked how Blakeo did his project the most. No fancy grill, he burns his food, the coals looked awesome, and he has a neat Avatar Name, what more could you ask? |

I know mine really is not , well, you know. High Quality. :p
I just wanted to throw bananaman and crazybob on a grill together so I could participate!
I thought it would be funnier if I could create a 'cannibal village' scene, and dress the two in 'safari' gear. But I need more practice!

In the end Blakeo got my vote for adding slight bends in the stand which really helps to sell the disposable but real look. I really lliked Vizu's though for the elegant simplicity of the design. Both of those two entries especially had a very nice impression of scale. |

Lol, no problem Prodigy!
I think the only reason you aren't getting as many votes is because your's is on the second page and people are too lazy to go to the second page...
I COMPREHEND!!! :D I'll try to submit better entries next time. This was the first SMC I entered in, as you can probably very easily see....
Can't wait for the results and the next topic!

My view is the same as ProfK's. Blakeo got my vote, but I really liked Vizu's and Nez's had a lot of detail for such a short period of time.
Good topic PK! :)

:) The most votes I've ever had. thanks prodigy, steinie, PK, vizu and jack - and anyone else - you've made my day. I don't care if I win or not just that I try to make a good picture. (sod the model - it's the render that counts ;) ;) ;) hehe.
My vote's for Vizu - really really nice clean model and good render. I also liked frootee's - poor banana! lol

Shoot. I had an entry all ready for this one, but this week has been so hetic that I didn't have time to upload it. Oh, well... It defiantly would not have won any prizes anyway. :D Am I the only one that likes Professor's smoker-grill? It is very authentic. |

Thanks Kena! :)
I did have a few pics from the web to follow from though I had to simplify and improvise a stand in the end.
example: http://www.grillshowroom.com/heavy-gauge-steel-smoker.htm
I think I found a picture with a flat top on the charcoal container so I modelled that to make it a bit simpler. In retrospect, it looks like the charcoal container should have been dropped a bit lower though.
Never too late to show off the model if you like. Maybe post it below or in the comments thread to avoid confusion on the vote. I think perhaps a lesson learned for me on the topic of the SMC is to try to set the deadline to end just after the weekend instead of just before. That might help folks who work during the week and didn't jump on it right away over the starting weekend. |

I would have joined again, but in between finishing my video's and moving I have been swamped. It's that damn day job. If it weren't for adult-hood I would have so much free time.....sheesh....so who is our King? I voted once, but it shows I can vote again????? Don't think that would be fair. |

Looks like a pretty close competition. 2 vote spread and 3 days left to vote. Plenty of time for anything to happen! :) |

*sniff* Gosh. I don't know what to say. *sniff*
I am humbled and honoured and I stand before you on legs of fire!
This is the first time I've ever won anything! I'd like to thank... *sniff* ... to thank my family for all their wonderful support in this project *sniff* .... and Caligari for making such a great program, because we wouldn't be here without them *sniff* and not forgetting Tesco's £2.99 BBQs for the inspiration for the project - because we all love a bargain *audience polite laughter*
</Paltrow mode> :D
Cheers guys, thanks for the votes.
Next challenge is on its way...
