Can you maybe cancel the vote and make a new poll?

I don´t think this will be a good idea.

some people already vote there.

I belive we will accept my misstake (my poor english is the reason) and contentrate to the next contest.

It´s a pity so few caligari users want to attend to this contest.

Only 8 entrys in 1 week ;(

You're probably right. I was thinking if you caught it early enough, you'd be able to cancel it or at least re-direct people, like (Prodigy was it?) did a few weeks ago when he set up a poll wrong.

Shame though, I wish more people would enter too as well as vote.

MM i think the problem is that are many people without the knowledge to make a speed challenge .. We "advanced" TS Users must help other "mid" or "new" Users how to work with Ts, modeling technics and other stuffs, maybe are people who need help or more time to make a speed modeling...

A good thing would be, for the winner to make a tutorial on how he got his final product, and thats gonna help a lot of people.. i think..

Get It??? :jumpy:

I set the poll time to expire; added a few more days. Let me know if I did wrong or if this is not long enough or such. I have ability to "edit" polls so is easy to fix if problem arises.

I think that is a GREAT IDEA!!

Though I think most people are building quickly and not thinking of all the steps they made, I'm sure things could be reproduced fairly easily. At least enough to give the readers an idea of how the objects were made. I know it would take time, but I think it would be well worth it as sometimes the wire doesn't really help to show how objects were made.

I thought that was the purpose of the speed challenges anyway. That is to show people how things could be modeled and not necessarily to win.

Which is why I don't vote, not even for myself. :)

True, it is, but I was thinking more of a quick explanation how an object was made, and not just the wire frame showing what was finished. Wire frames are great as examples, but don't really explain the process.:D

You know I heard you prodigy. All I will wait for now is a tutorial "author" to agree to do it. As soon as you folks want it set up I can do so.

Perhaps you wish to ask past winners if they wish to do a tutorial on thier winning entry? I could set up some area for them straight away. Just let me know and I can do so ASAP.

Sure i know you heard me... ;)

Im gonna send private messages to past winners to ask if wanna make the tutorials.. who know...
But Norm, im convenced the "TUTORIOUM" be able to anybody who whants to send up a tutorial from how to make a texture, uvmapping or anithing, not ONLY for the Speed challenge contest..

Thats why i think the cathegory can be able now...

Best Regards, and stay in contact...

Let me know what you think..
