I am a builder and have found that I can make a fairly respectable

looking model of a proposed project in TrueSpace. My question is...

is there an app out there that I can use to make a standalone model

display to give to a customer? This would be a VERY BIG help!

Thanks....

Mark

Hi Map,

TruePlay is the free stand alone viewer app for TS projects.

Yep if you are using tS7.5, then truePlay is the answer. The client installs truePlay at no charge. You send them the RSSCN file from trueSpace which they save to their hard drive. They run truePlay without clicking on any links on our web pages etc, just run it direct from their installation. There is an option there called Show Local Spaces which will let them browse their hard drive and select the RSSCN you sent them.

The space then runs and they can view it in real-time with one of the best real-time engines out there. Note that you can also script things, such as doors opening when they approach, or lightswitches they can activate and deactivate and so on - that's one big advantage of truePlay, it is more than just a plain old viewer, it lets the user interact with the scene if it is set up to create interactive behaviors in trueSpace.

HTH!

truePlay's ancestor is 3D Explorer (http://www.3dexplorer.it/). Although its render engine is quite old now and that navigation does not support collision (you simply pass through walls and ground), this tSX can help until you upgrade to 7.51/truePlay.

While truePlay requires install + loading + keys setup, this one does all in one step ; so 3DExplorer is still superior to tP in the ease of use for end user.
We can expect next truePlay version to behave like this though... At least this is my mission as beta adviser ;)

Nice Find! I thought this one had been lost to the ages.
