Ok does anybody else get this issue...I want to move a object just a small amount to make it line up with another object. Now to make sure I move it in the direction I want deselect x for example to move on the y axis. Now when I move it lets say down..as in down the screen it wants to move out..left to right when I only want to go up and down. So bascially it moves down and to the left not just down. Can't figure it out..it is always something new with TS.

Why not turn off x AND y to move on the Z axis ? You could also use the "Info Panel" and type in your movement.

For starters, you appear to know what you wish to move where. This is a good thing.;) Make sure you have a view window open that enables you to see properly to do this. Working in the default perspective view does NOT always allow you to do things in a jiffy as you would like them to occur. The object panel is a possibility. Using the grid snap feature also works well. There are a couple of other possibilities though, magnetic tools for example and object collision.

Or you could just use the widget....? Dragging on the cylinders restricts the movement to that axis...

as does right click dragging on the gray triangle that is perpendicular to the axis you want to move in...
