HELP!!!!!

I am trying to install pyrocluster from the fxpack in TS751. The setup stops when it does not see ts5 in the directory.

Does anyone know of any workarounds/fixes for this?

Yep. You have to copy your ts7.exe file to a file called ts5.exe, then it will install just fine. Likely you could put any file in there and call it ts5.exe and it would install correctly. ;)

Thank you for your help. I made a copy of ts7.exe as you suggested and the installation ran to completion. I see the pyrocluster.dlo etc in the plugins directory.

However, I do not see a tsx or any other form of executable that will run this thing. The installation doc refers to a registration process which did not run from setup and I have no idea how to activate it.

Your further comments would be appreciated.

I believe it's cebas.dll you'll want to load as a tsx, which ends up in the main trueSpace directory upon installation. Once you have this loaded properly, you should be able to proceed with the registration.

How did you manage to bypass the whole authorization key thing? I have an older version of FXpak and just tried to reinstall pyrocluster, but this is the snag I'm hitting. I've heard that Cebas no longer supports truespace versions of pyrocluster so I haven't tried to contact them quite yet. Did they get back to you with the code or does the more recent version of FXpak have that info?

Thanks.

FWIW, once you've registered, make backup copies of the PLUGCFG, plugins and PyroSettings directories (probably PLUGCFG is the important one with the PyroCluster.CFG and PyroCluster.SER files). If you ever need to reinstall in such a way that reregistration would be required, just drop those (again, perhaps only PLUGCFG) in place, and you should be good to go without need to contact Cebas again.

Very cool. Thanks folks. I ended up using ppfx instead (rendering as I type), but I have a good use for it in the very near future. Thanks.
