Hey folks.

Well, I'm not sure if you remember my old short from several years ago titled "Aksturmp", but I'm finally in production with the second half. I'm using TS 6.6 because I can use motion studio in it (I also haven't had time to learn the ins and outs of 7x, though I'll try to incorporate it somewhere in production).

My question: I can not for the life of me figure out how to save a mostu rigged character as an object and then load it into a scene. I get a single joint when I load a saved character. I've tried a few different things and had no luck, so I figured the best thing to do was to ask the TS gurus. Any suggestions guys?

Still on 6.6 here, only played with MotionStudio a couple times though. Was able to load it (I purchased the Pro version seems like eons ago but Turbo license can't seem to activate it, problem communicating with license server :-().
Only thing that pops into my mind is that you may not have the entire thing selected when saving. I've loaded objects before, but if the plug-in wasn't in the interface a message stated plug-in not found, custom data not loaded. Sorry if this isn't the soloution.

Download the version from here: http://www.primitiveitch.com/pub/

This is the newest version, and Mostu is freeware nowadays. So no need to license anymore :)

To save a completely rigged mesh turn off Options/ Auto Drill-down Select (i have this always off anyway), then select the skeleton in the Mostu panel scene, and now you should be able to save and load the whole rigged mesh.

That did it, Tiles. Thanks.

I can no longer find documentation/ tutorials on MoStu. Any idea where I can dig that stuff up? Not just a question for you, Tiles, just throwing it out there.

Thanks again.

As far as Motion Studio tutes go there is always the Character Animation course. Its an excellent step by step on how to use Motion Studio. An oldy but a goldy.
