Hi, folks. Wasn't certain which catagory to place this under so I'm sorry if I'm posting to the wrong area.

Not sure what's causing this problem. I made a tree in 6.6 using the old Treedo plugin. When I render, I get only a thin vertical line down the middle of the screen. This will be consistant on every frame. I've tried simple tests... remove ts.cfg and reboot, new scene, place a sphere in it, render to file. Works fine. Open the tree file as either scene or object. Render to file. I get the thin line. Start new scene without reboot. Do the simple sphere test again. Get a thin line. Very strange. This is consistant between ts 6.6 and ts 7. I've tried Vray in ts 7 and get an error message. I've tried to fix bad geometry. Ditto. Anyone have any advise?

Have you tried a cleaning cloth on your monitor's screen?

Joking of course.

Can't say I've ever heard of this one. Perhaps one of the gurus will happen along and give some insight.

Forgot to mention: if I hit render scene, object or area render, it works fine.

That is very strange.... Just a thought... Before you render, have you tried applying a UV projection onto your tree? It seems like it misses for some reason.

I had this happen before years with TS 6.6 and an old Ati card. Not sure if i fixed it with newest drivers then or it had to do with the layers settings, which are auto active by default. Try to turn it off.

I reboned/animated a couple trees, no layers on, and increased my virtual memory. That seems to have helped somewhat... it crashes a bit but the thin line issue doesn't seem to be happening now. Still curious what it might have been. Tiles, I was using 6.6 but when loading the scene into 7, I got the same render problem. Deleting the cfg file helped... until I loaded the scene again. Then it went back to the render you saw above.
