just got the FXPACK and went to install Pyrocluster, read the directions, ran the included patch and got nothing...other than the cebas program group icons which included a help file, readme, and uninstaller. program appears to do a total install and asks for a restart. once back up, there is no directory structure in TS as shown in the help file. no way to access program either from within TS or outside. my ver is 5.1 sp sse 3dnow.

anyone see this before???

thanks...

Hi Jeff

I'm at work at the moment so i'll check when i get home, but i seem to remember that you need to click on the plug-in icon in Truespace and load the Cebas.dll in the main Truespace directory, i will check when i get home in a few hours time.

Hope this helps

Regards Jim

P.s As this is my first post i would like to say hi to everyone in the Caligari forums.:)

hi WJB and Slim! Welcome to the forums!

You are correct Slim. Click teh plugin icon (looks like a wall outlet with power plug), and select the cebas.dll file in the dialog box that opens. You just need to navigate to the directory where the cebas.dll was installed.

Now, I am not sure if there is an issue or not with registering. It's been awhile since I installed pyrocluster (couple years!) but it is a really good plugin. It can be slow, but good.

just to let you know, it worked. its a shame the onboard docs didnt state this. would make life much easier. now waiting on Cebas to send authorization code. have sent 2 requests and have heard nothing back yet. guessing this is typical?

thanks again...

Hi wjb
One thing i do remember about the registration is make sure you fill all of it in, the first time i didn't, and did not get any reply.

Jim

Thanks for the welcome frootee.:)

I'm curious as to whether or not Cebas still does registration for their tS version of Pyrocluster. Hopefully someone there will take care of it for you.

Along the same lines, I've wondered about how registration is handled for other abandoned plugins that are sold on the various Paks. For example: If someone where to purchase dePak, how would they register ClothMotion, with CK Game Factory no longer running?

wjb3805 : Keep us posted. I'd like to know how this turns out for you.

You may want to directly email Edwin Braun (e.braun AT cebas DOT com)

Here is a reply I received from him: "We do support activation, however we do not support any isues relating TrueSpace or compatibility with versions above 5."

I re-installed Pyrocluster lately and Cebas sent the registration code just one day after I contacted them.

took a couple of days but it finally came. its "register@cebas.com". when they say send the info as a file attachment, they mean it. sent same info as a regular email message and my reply was the steps on how to do the file attachment process.

not surprising having worked for a German Company before. if they ask you for a metal part of 1 and 31/32 of an inch, they mean exactly that. not within a tolerance of +/- 1/64th, but the exact measurement. they are a very precise people, at least from my exposure to them...
