Trying to figure out how to group a prop to a figure that has already been boned and skinned.

Also, didn't see away to remove bones from a figure either.

Here's the LE screen shot.

The no name object is the figure and the spikehead is the prop I want to place on top of the figure (no name)

It's wired, but must be missing something, because soon as I use dynamic pose, the prop (spikehead) stays in place and doesn't move with the object.

Is there a way to make the prop (spikehead) to stay with the object when using dynamic pose?

Sounds like using the dynapose tool is unlinking the owner matrix on the prop. If that's the case then you could just reconnect it ofter you finish posing the character.

If you want the prop to move with the bone, then you have to attach it as an object to the bone using the attach object to bone tool -- select the bone with the dynapose tool, click the attach object to bone tool, then click on the object.

Hope that helps!

you cannot have 2 inputs for owner matrix.. well you can but only 1st link is considered, others are ignored. If you want to have 2 owners, you need to use another transform nodes.

That worked Jack Edwards, thanks!

Tomas, that makes sense - I guess I should do more to plan the scene than I did. :)

Oh, I am having a hard time applying BVH into the scene to other characters. If I use the main character BVH, it remembers the location and places the BVH skeleton in the identical spot.

Should I make a new scene and apply the BVH skeleton to a different character then save the character and bring it into the scene or ?

Oh, and why do BVH skeletons come in upside down?

Regarding upside down BVH skeletons, I would guess that the coordinate reference system used to create the skeleton is 180 degrees out of phase with respect to the truespace coordinate system in at least one dimension. The BVH +y axis is Truespace's -y axis, and vice versa.
