I know of several people running tS7 under Vista 64 bit with no problems. As far as I am aware, no special flag needs to be set for it to work, but someone who uses 64 bit can comment on that for sure.

HTH!

Yeah, I can vouch for that. I use TS 7.51 on Vista x64.

There are a few window refresh glitches but other than that it work fine. ;) VRay for TS works well with Vista also and makes full use of both CPU cores.

Edit: forgot to mention about Dribble though, Dribble can only interface with the 32-bit version of 3Delight, so if you purchase Dribble from Simon, make sure to install the 32bit version of 3Delight.

Yup TS is 32bit. Roman has made mention of a possible 64bit flavor of TS8.0 in one of the threads in reply to the Captain's Blog. But that's still a long ways off... I think. ;)

It helps to right click on TS installer and chose "Run as Administrator" (something you should do for all installers in Vista), but other than that you install it just like any other windows application 32bit or 64bit.

I'm really not seeing any problems running 32bit apps on Vista x64. But I do wish there were more 64bit apps to use though... LOL other than Microsoft developer and media software, I think the only 64-bit apps I have installed are 7Zip and Paint.NET... :p

yep I can vouch for that too , one of my machines is a 64 vista ultimate quad-core, 4gb ocz 800 ram, ts751 runs good on it , I dont seem to have as many refresh issues as some others experience ,so it might be the graphics card a little bit coming into play , I am using a 8800gtx on that system .
