Hi
I am trying to load sound clips in facial animator. I read you need the internal speech engine but it is not there from the drop down list. How do I get this to work?

not the microsoft speech one, that one is listed, the other one for wav files.

The version I got with 6.6 was microsoft. Mary, Sam and that other dude. |

I always used wav files anyway. It takes a bit more work, but I think the quality of the wav sync is way better than most speech synthesis. Although I do have some voice synthesis software that's pretty good. |

From what i've read in the captains blog it looks like they're going to replace the Facial Animator with something new in 7.6, maybe this problem was just an error that slipped thru the net and they don't want to divert any of the coders to sort it out so they can stay on track with 7.6 and all the new features. |

Oh well, sucks for anyone who wants to really use it, i just wanted to try it out. What I am really waiting for is the 7.6 solution. Can't wait to see what the future holds. Weird thing to take out of a facial animator though. |

It is a bit, kind of limits it's use quite a bit. I never felt that comfortable with it though, don't know why. |
