Hi everybody! Although I love my 7.5, I still frequently use my 6.6 and now I am having a very strange problem.

Whenever I try to save my models now, the model icon is without any thumbnail image whatsoever, not even a logo image. Then, when I try to retrieve the model, the 6.6 program shuts down. In fact, going to the folder where I keep the model causes window explorer to crash. In 6.6, after the shut down occurs, I keep getting the following 2 messages in separate consecutive windows:

The exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occured in the application at location 0x7c812a56

The second one following that one says this:

Runtime error 218 at 05ABDF6E

Any help you guys can give me will be tremenfously appreciated. Thank you very very much.. pianodavy@comcast.net :)

I have had the same problem as well. I don't have a fix though and I'm curious to see if there is something that we can do about it.

Uninstall Thumbnailviewer and have a look if that helps.

I'm not sure about davy but I have never installed the thumbnail viewer. I have been able to load the model and it shows up really small. Nowhere close to the original size so that's kind of strange.

Thanx Tiles.... Uninstalling the thumb nail viewer restored everything..'cept of course my thumbnail images. Guess now I will have to name me models and their components very carefully (hahahahaha). I did put an image icon on all my .cob files though and decided to have fun with it. Now the question remains however..is there a way to reasonably restore the functionality of the thumb nail viewer? Not that it is all that neccesary, but i figured, hey why should it have failed to begin with? Perhaps just the millions of files I make in .cob? Anyhow..thanx a million man! http://www.pianodavy.com
