I'm not really surprised by this.

MS has taken up the stance of forcing people to upgrade not only their systems, but also their programs.

BTW, it looks like your under on the amount of RAM you should have for an ok level of WIN performance. From what I've heard you'll only start getting 'ok' levels of performance when you have a gig+.

Good point Visu but I don't think it's necessary to shout!

I think when the original Windows Vista is in the stores, the programmes will work. At least, they should. There's a long way to go for Windows Vista. That includes bug testing, and offcourse, BETA-testing.

But eventually, it'll work for sure. I should give it some time.

I am presently working closely with Microsoft Vista Q.A.

Directx10 is a complete rewritte and theorically is backward compatible.

Truespacespace 7 not running on vista is not surprise as most games.

There are some leads that says that there is an emulator for xbox stations.

I am doing an exhaustive search for that emulator. When i find it I will post it on the forum.

Personally, I'm a bit "migration tired"...I'm pretty sure it will be a long, LONG time before I even think about going Vista. So far the only thing making me want it is to get the most out of MS Flight Simulator X upon its release. Until then I am quite content with XP.

I feel that the new hardware evolution needs to settle down a bit first as well.
