I am running into a little problem with pyrocluster. I have sucessfully gotten it to launch, and I can create a spray particle system, but seem to be unable to get a pyrocluster system attached to it. I have also tried this with the trueparticles plugin, with the same result. I can't seem to get it to 'latch on', as it were. Has anyone else gotten this to work?
Thanks in advance for the help. :) |

Hi B_scotty. I think what you need to do is this:
1. add trueparticles object
2. add pyrocluster object to trueparticles object
3. click CLOSE on the PC window in order to make the crosshairs disappear.
What happens is, you do get a PC object added, but once you add the PC object, you have the capability to add more; that's why the crosshairs are still on the screen. Once you click CLOSE, the crosshairs disappear. Then, you can edit your PC object.

BTW... DUDE! You're in Denton TX? I lived in Richardson/Plano for 10 years before moving to New Hampshire! Cool! |

Hi frootee,
Ah, closing the PC window after creating the particle system, then opening again to creat the pyroscluster system did the trick. Before, I was not getting the 'ABBS' crosshairs, but doing that did the trick. Thanks!
Yep, sounds like you were pretty close to my area there. How long ago did you move to New Hampshire?
Thanks again for the help.

no prob. We moved here back in February 2004. Lookin for a way back to TX or elsewhere. Came up here for a job. A good reason sure, but, well, it's also a good reason to move elsewhere.
I'm glad that worked. Now, the question is, can we animate the positioning of the PC?

RE: animating it, I sure intend to try. I found some more info in the old forums archive here (http://forums.caligari.com/discus/messages/1580/13769.html?ThursdayOctober0920030402pm). That is where I will start :) |
