How do I disable the bridge?

I've been unable to bring up the desktop preferences dialog under player or anywhere else. Could someone give me an idiots guide to finding it please.

Cheers

Chris

This is in the Default view. You can change from Auto to On or Off.

As another note, if you click on the player with preferences, Player preferences comes up and the Bridge option will not be there. Click on LE with Preferences open and the Bridge option as shown will show.

Hmm...Desktop settings tab shows for me with both player preferences and LE preferences. Chris, If you don't see the "Desktop" tab in the "preferences" stack, I think it will come back if you select "reset to default context". Be aware that you will lose any customization that you've done to the UI.

So you've got TS7 now? Did you get Vray as well? I can't wait to see what you can do with these tools. :)

Thanks for the help. The "set to default context" did the trick.

Yes Dele, I now have 7.1, along with vray, and a new PC. Trying to get to grips with the intricacies of rendering in vray. So many variables to play with, but I'm getting there slowly. I'm trying out some old scenes, which I'll post soon for comparisons. I'm still interested in radiosity, as it gives good results if treated gently, and my faster pc makes its use more viable.

One thing I've noticed is that the software isn't making use of my dual core athlon. Did someone post a message earlier in this repect. I'd really like to get the best out of the processor for rendering.

Cheers

I also couldn't find the "Desktop" preferences, until I went back the the "Default" layout on the player side. For some reason it does not appear in the custom layout that I created (even though that custom layout has a Stack view with preferences that should display in it).
