HI ALL... FIRST I TRY TO EXPLAIN MY QUESTIONS THE BEST I CAN BECAUSE I SPEAK SPANISH..
1) DOESN'T HAVE VRAY MATERIALS MAPPED SHADER??? I ALWAYS USE MAPPED TEXTURES TO MAKE MAKE A SIMPLE FLOOR WITH DIFERENT SHINES OR DIFUSE BY MAPPED TEXTURES With Ligthworks, but i cant do this effect on VRAY.
2) HAVE VRAY DOF??? BECAUSE I CANT USE..
3) IRRADIANCE MAP.. IS VERY VERY USESFULL.. BUT!!!.. FOR WHAT?
Try this... Make a room.. put GI, and save in any file the irradiance map.
ex, c:\gi
Render, not the animation.. only current frame..
Later, deactive "save irradiance map" and active load irradiance map. with the path C:\gi
and render the animation with a path on the camera..
The problem is.. if u turn the camera to another point of view, diferent the first... in the render apears strages points like a non irradiance...
the question IS.. FOR WHAT WE CAN USE THE IRRADIANCE SAVE LOAD MAp??
Because if u change any light... object... texture.. the irradiance map doesnt work properly..
And if u change the point of the camera apears errors.. what is the use for Irradiance map.. I cant find a good use for this.
THANKS FOR ANSWERS....

Currently not. I hope that this will be added in the future too.

No, not yet.
3) IRRADIANCE MAP.. IS VERY VERY USESFULL.. BUT!!!.. FOR WHAT?
The Irradiance map calculation is view dependent. The GI calculation is stored for the actual view of the camera. This is currently the only way. Other features from Vray like "Multiframe Incremental" or "Incremental Add" will come in the future.
Currently it's good for stills with high settings and no need for recalculation.
There is a free program called Irradiance Map Viewer from Chaos Group which can bake several maps together to one but I don't know if tS User get access to that program.

Thanks Parva,:D
I hope on next upgrades implement this.. The most important for me is mapped textures...
Realy TS7.1 works good, i found its inestable on large scenes.. Im working now on exterior scene of a building.. 42 MB without textures..
And TS7.1 locks .. I load the same scene on TS6.6 and works good.
(I MODEL THIS SCENE ON TS7.1)
I think TS7.1 are OVERCHARGED of things...

tS7 works much faster with the bridge turned off. It's a pain, but the only way to handle large scenes. |

Prodigy..to turn off bridge you need to find the "desktop" node..in default layout it should be in the stack..under preferences..
or in the LE go to system/ preferences you will find "desktop" node there too..
if it's in default state..change "auto " to off:banana:

Not sure how they are picked Stan. I was asked to do some illustration tutorials for TS6.6 which then became ipak which I tested out at the very end of the cycle...just sort of been there since, which is good otherwise I may never have stamped my own little identity (love it or loathe it) onto the interface...;) I certainly was not proteam when I was approached... |
