Does anyone have a script for moving components out of and into an object hierarchy? (Or can anyone give me a little help me in writing two scripts for this purpose?) (Truespace 6.6)

I believe that I should be using the GroupRemoveCurrobj() command for taking component objects out of a hierarchy, and "GroupNewWithCurobj() for putting them into the hierarchy of an object. But I'm missing something, or not doing something right.

I am familiar with FORTRAN and Visual Basic programming, and have some brand new Python books here - but the language is new to me. Basically, I am trying to automate the task of taking out individual leaves from a leaf mass object, and automating the task of putting them back in, after I've changed them.

Any help sure would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would anyone like me to post PhilC's scripts for these purposes?
