here is how to make custom toolbars..


1. with two single icons, drag one while holding down ctrl..place it so the blue bar shows up under the icon[not beside a handle]..then let go of ctrl..


2.. now you should have an icon with a red triangle in lower corner..with two icons as a popup..


3.. now again while holding ctrl, drag that toolbar over to a larger toolbar as shown..the toolbar will expand as you drag..place it where you want ..notice the blue bar appears when dragging into positon..


4.. finally place that expandable branch into an even larger toolber group in the same way..


now you should have an expandable toolbar like in the first image..


branches must be done in that order, otherwise trying to start a secondary branch by adding one via an edge attachment will delete the icon[s] you attempt to add [I think this is a bug]..but an expandable group of two or more will work when done as shown in images 3 or 4..


when a side branch has been created it is then as easy as hold ctrl, click and drag to get additional icons to the branch.. :D
