A person was wondering if, in ts 7.1 the uv editor will work in a way that you can select polys on the model in 3d space and the poly will also be selected in the uv editor. Right now it seems that ts7 uv editor works this way....select a ply in the uv editor and it is selected on the model in 3d space but not the other way around. Will the uv editor also work the other way around in ts7.1?

The person was me ;)

I still use TS 6.6, and I had my fun with a model with 24k polys and lots of different UV areas. Especially when you have several UV areas at one texture it can easily happen that you end with dozen of this areas overlapping each other in the UV mapping editor. And now try to grab one of them to move it to another location of the texture.

Sure, you can work around by adding one area after another to the texture. That´s what i did. But it´s tricky when you need to rearrange it then.

So it would be very handy to have a way to select a specific part of the mesh in the UV mapping editor. As suggested by selecting a face or several faces at the model. There is Named selection for example with which you could easily grab such a region at once. Would make life much easier :)
