You can see that these panel fields are associated with particular connectors (attributes) of the object. When they are associated with output connectors, they are disabled (i.e. you cannot change their value using LE). It makes sense as output values are computed by the object, using input values. You can change background of the edit field associated with an input connector, but not for those asociated with output connector. Alas, for compo box it is reverted - you can change color for combo boxes associated with output connectors, but not for those associated with input connectors. We should fix (unify) this ...
