Hello All!

Firstly, very nice looking new forum!

OK on to my question. I've been testing out TS 7 with some of my older
scenes and was wondering if there is a way to control texture conversion
via the bridge from modeler to player?

I've attached 2 screen captures to illustrate what I mean. The first,
fut66.jpg is a capture of the modeling screen and the second, fut7.jpg
is a capture of the player screen. The files are slightly compressed (level 10)
jpegs so they may be a little more extreme than what I see on my screen.

They both look the same to me, except player looks better.

Does it have any anti alias settings, or supersampling?

Maybee you could try some bloom too.

Hi mrbones! (or should I call you Jean Luc!:p)

The texture I'm talking about is the skydome background, I'm happy with the
rest of the smaller textures. You can see how it has banding in the clouds like
it's been converted to highly compressed jpeg.

This is only a guess, but maybe you need to increase the texture size or adjust the resolution reduction in the player.

Hi , I am not sure I fully understand the question, .


however if you r-click over the draw mode in model window to bring up display options you can set the Txt Res for player to other sizes.


p927 of the guide gives more information on this.

Hi Délé & Cayenne,

Thanks for the suggestions. I checked my settings for Texture Hardware
and it's set to No limit. I also checked Txt Res for Player and it's set to
2048x2048. The sky texture is a 1500 px X 525 px. tiff file from Tom Marlin's
samples.

I'll try some testing of different resolutions in Photoshop.

edit: I guess I should add, I'm running an ATI x800XL 256 MB video card.
