Does truespace need the patches they are talking about in the forums or is everything working okay? I downloaded Truespace about 4 days ago.

Does virtuout work with 7.6 and is it possible to port Virtualight and Virtuout with 7.6 to get these extra features mentioned in the Virtuout thread?

Is the virtuout plugin in this patch and will all the new features in Truespace regarding Virtualight still be working?

I think VL with tS have same features as VL on the patch. The only different was VL from tS is specially compiled for use together with tS (sad VL that come together with tS7 have bug).

Just you need extra work for rendering animation.

I think the unofficial patch will cause several problems, as you can read in the links and you'll get an older single threaded version instead.

If you only have the problem, that VirtuaLight properties panel has vanished away, have a look to Tech Forum

This was working good in my case (only a two lines change in registry).

As far as I understood the named differences on the tS integrated VL version is its integration with multithreading and viewer.

... if somebody knows more, or better ..., please let us know. :o

Prodigy states in the virtuout thread "VirtuaOut has some features not included on Truespace like the Camera Lens (panoramic, Perspective, Eyefish, etc) and few other features that i cant remember right now.." My virtualight panel is opening fine. Are people installing this patch so they can have these missing features?

This unofficial patch for VL, was created for force tS's VL render using old version of VL.

Original tS's VL is version 1.4.3 and VL on this patch is version 1.4.0. This patch is down grade version of VL and of course you'll miss new features on version 1.4.3.

I'm not using VL because its a very old render engine, so I don't know what features are new on VL version 1.4.3. Maybe Caligari or other members who use VL can give some information about the missing features because of this down grade version.

Brent, rather than use old discontinue VL render engine, while you dont try with Yaf(a)Ray render engine?
