How do I apply a texture to my object in 7.6?

I tried finding this in the manual but still can't figure it out. Up till now I have been just using the model side to apply the textures, which i could always do but im trying to learn about workspace. :)

Very similar set of tools to the Model side. You use the Material Editor. Open it via the Inspect Material icon, then you can use Paint Face, Paint Object, Paint Over Existing Material, just as per Model side.

You will find you have 2 different types of materials, one set for DX9 (real-time engine, can have real-time effects like simulated reflections etc, which won't render in an offline engine or export to games etc), and Lightworks / V-Ray materials.

Best way to get a material is to load it from the library (right click and use Load Item - double clicking the material in the library will apply it to your currently selected object).

HTH!

I've already tried this and it does'nt work for me. I've imported my own texture into the library, (Materials - Textures) not in the materials dx9 and when i right click to load item then double click on it to apply to may selected model, nothing happens.

But if I double click on the ones that are already supplied it works.

Ok I have figured it out. :)

It is the same as model side, but just a little more confusing at first.

But anyway I have it now.

Thanks guys...
