I copy the lic.dat file to the 3dlight dir and then run the lic server and it tells me "cannot license 3dlight feature from this machine <invalid key?>" I got this key from them? I hate that they make it so difficult to use such a good program. I must be the only one to have this much problems with this program. Reinstalling 3delight and Dribble is also recommended (see prior threads). Your host id should work no matter what. Also you may have to reboot the pc once you install your new license, I believe that solved my watermark issue. You may just be having some bad luck with your pc, but as far as 3d issues go, especially with truespace, 3delight is a 3 out of 10 at best. It seems you're definitely not having the usual 3delight annoyances. :o I think at this stage I can only advise to do the obvious thing and apply for another license, or maybe scrub your registry after unistalling 3delight and Dribble, and start over. Unfortunately, the down side to the free license is the lack of of official support from nda. Why not have a little service you can run from the 3dlite folder that fetches the lic and installs it. It is just too agravating. Post by splinters // Dec 9, 2008, 3:56am splinters Total Posts: 4148 Are you sure it is the right hostid? You may see several when you run ipconfig /all from a cmd line. It is the top one which is usually always your Lan card, if you had this disabled somehow it might show a wireless card instead. Even if you are using the right one, have you tried registering with one of the other id's? Worth a try and the only thing I can see causing this if you followed the other steps. How old is your licence by the way? They have to be renewed every couple of months. Got a new lic sent to me and copied that in there. Seems to work fine now. Just alot of trouble for one little program
