Hi, Im searching for a simple way to create animated gifs.

I've used avi's, and I think I want to view optimized animated gifs instead b/c of the bandwidth. I have about 200 frames, and am using photoshop to copy and paste all the individual image files into about 200 layers, and then I use the imageready's save as optimized gif to save all of these layers into an animated gif. :jumpy:

So the question is - Is there a better way that I can do this more efficiently without the copy and paste to new layers using photoshop and image ready? Maybe some tool in TrueSpace?

theres always the flash plugin :)

for animation images i use jpg or png

with this:

http://www.nigecstudios.co.uk/ts/scene.html

I rendered the background without the chain and box, hide everything and made the chain visible and did the swing animation.. saved the frames as png's with a black background

i used jasc's animation shop and imported the swing sequence and cropped the images.. save the sequence again as png

hide the chain and made the box visible and sent it backwards from the tee chest.. then did the save etc

I used flash but i guess you could do a straight forward gif the same way, it only uses one big image the rest are really small

Mines got 3 layers , background, animation and the forground hiding the box and chain lever

Hi Guys, I successfully GIF animate hundreds or thousands of Truespace rendered frames. In the past I tried a variety of gif animation programs and ended up with the ultimate gif animator... gif movie gear 4 ... See my old post here about that...

below are a few of the dozens of gifs I have made...

This gif is a Truespace 7.5 render to file workspace render of 4000 frames. I speeded it way up of course. Its only 3.7 megabytes.

:)

I think I rendered about 2000 frames on this one. Gif is less than 1.5 megabytes.
