I want to connect "2" different models together and make them ONE.

I do not want to glue as child ect.. I dont think I want to Boolean add either.

Simple example... Say I have 2 different walls constructed one faces

east/west the other north/south. I want to bring them together at the corners where the moulding and walls meet. I want to join them where the

POINTS line-up and MERGE them together. Merging the points in the

process (eliminating extra misc. points) and making a single un-glued object.

Also, as to my last question about what gets saved in a SCENE file...

Do ShaderLab and ShaderMagic shaders and setting get saved IN the SCENE

file? (Ok, probably not the shaders but the SETTINGS for the shaders)...

Thanks, I'm using tS6.6.... (For Now).....

Seems to me that it is boolean union you want. I can't think of any other way of doing this but it has been a while.

I suppose there might also be a weld of some kind...can't remember. I've not used 6.6 for a long time now and only use select tools model-side in TS7.6

Yes, this kind of merging together is boolean union. This adds things together, making them one solid, inseparable mesh. Different from glue or encapsulate that leaves them as two separate meshes that can be manipulated together or separately.

With shaders, the settings get saved in the scene file, but not the shaders. So if you move the scene to a machine that does not have Shaderlab installed, the scene will not work - trueSpace will tell you on loading that the shader could not be found.

HTH!

Use the File/Archive menu command if you want to save the scene, the settings, and copies of all the shaders and textures used in that particular scene.

This will create a subfolder in the tS6.x/Archive/ directory with all the goodies collected in one spot for easy, well, archiving.
