Ok I was going to use the cloth sim to get my tarp to look natural on the flintstone car. The problem I keep getting is that my tarp falls trough the roof support post. Now the tarp gets a "bump" like it was infulenced by the roof supports but it just falls right through. Any ideas?

hi rjeff i had similar things happening whilst playing around with this but once i found and turned on "collision with all" it worked fine.. hope it helps

Ok I tried the collision check box and still nothing. Here is a screen grab of what my problem looks like, with my settings box showing.

Just a stab in the dark, but have you tried increasing the mesh density of the poles; i.e., add some extra geometry either manually by adding edges or by subdividing them. There may not be enough 'meat' there for the cloth to interact with.

hmm...I think I have stumbled on the problem. The poles were created in MS. then exported over. When I creat a pole in WS the sim works fine. I may have to recreate the poles in WS and use them as a template.
