The picture shows a robotic thing that I made using the attach object to bone method rather than skinning. I have ended up with some objects showing the edge lines for some reason. I can't find where to turn this off. None of the objects had the edge lines showing before attaching bones. Can anyone tell me why this is occurring and how to stop the edge lines showing?

I'm not sure if this is the setting you need in this case, but in the 'desktop' section of the scene settings panel there's a setting for wire highlight (none, object, subobject). You can see whether that turns off the wire hightlight for you.

I saw this phenomenon more in tS7.5 than in ts7.6, but it still occasionally manifests itself. I figure it's a video driver-related issue, but that's just my guess. In any case, I've found that if I save the scene, close then re-open tS, and reload the scene, the effect seems to be gone.

Thanks for the responses.

I tried at the time setting the screen draw mode to wireframe, transparent etc then back to solid but it didn't do anything - I still ended up with the displayed edge lines. I also clicked through the "none, object, subobject" items without effect. This was the last thing I did before closing down last night so hopefully you are right Electric Jim and when I get home and start it up again the problem will have self corrected. I'll let you know.

You were right Electric Jim. When I opened up the scene last night it was a case of "Problem? What problem?" For various reasons I ended up redoing and reattaching the skeleton (object to bone) and I didn't have the problem the second time anyway! Beats me

Yeah I've struck this a few times myself - I just save the scene then immediately reload it and the objects redraw themselves as they should. It only happens with the Attach Object to bone tool in my experience.
