Odd. This error has to do with double clicking a file to open it instead loading it into an opened tS when i remember correct. Curious enough, this error actually gots fixed in 7.6 ...

Have you tried to open TS 7.6 first, then load the object into the modeler?

You could also be in trouble with the file association. Hmm.

Thanks Tiles,

Yes, I load the file from TS7.6...at the "File" menu.

If it were file association problem, may I know how to solve it...

Thanks again for your help... ..I did work in TS6.6... now trying to migrate to 7.6...

I've had trouble loading most of my old 7.5 files or in fact new 7.6 ones with animation. I lose the animation attached to the objects and the animated objects appear several times too large in the last frame of animation. Clicking it causes it to disappear completely!

Another problem is that the Vray renderer renders differently in workspace to model view. In model the image does not appear when selected.

I can't be the only one experiencing this can I? :(

Ah, here we are. This one has trapped me before too. And i could bet it is what traps you here. There are two menus. Make sure that you use the one from the Modeler. Workspace cannot load cob :)

Important things to note which may or may not have a bearing on the problems noted below

1. .COB files can't save or store workspace animations and skeletons. COB is tS6.6 and earlier format, when such things didn't exist, so the format has no way to store the new data. Saving to COB if you have workspace animation or skeletons will destroy those. Save as RsObj which is the new tS7.6 object format.

2. COB files should be loaded in the Model window. There is a separate file menu named "tS6.6 Files" embedded in the tS6.6 window, and it is from there you should load and save COB.

HTH!

Tom
