Hi Stevan, if you could post a screen shot or video that would help us a lot with diagnosing the problem. One thing to look for is to see if you have Point Snapping enabled.

Also the draw tool snaps to edges and vertices as well. The snap area is screen relative, so you may have to zoom in the view to be able to make a placement without it snapping to an edge or vertex.

well i dont know how to use a screen shot or make a video out of it. but i will try to explain it with more details. well when useing the tool the mouse turns in to a pencil am i right. then the dot epresencse the verticy that will be added. but the dot never folows the pencil. ok now in the organic course while working on the head the three timse it was needed. the first is from the neck to the front of the head. now it was not easy to do the first verticy cause it only snaped in a few parts. then to the head it also was hard cause it was un acurit and it only snapped in sertan spots. this is the same with the second time polygonl tool is needed. the 3rd time when from top left head to bottom of mouth for the jaw is needed i couldnt even do. this is cause it wouldnt snap to anything at the top. the problum is no matter how close i zoom in it eather wont snap or the dot for were the vertise will be placed just vanishes:mad::mad::mad: i find truespace easy to use i have tryed other softwares and iam most confertable with this one but i just cant use all the tools properly cause of flaws in the software. (not flaws desghined i mean for me) so please i need help!!!!!!

to post a screen shot - press the "print screen" button on your keyboard.

open Windows Paint, then do a <ctrl><c> and it will paste your screen shot into paint.

Save it as a .jpg

in your reply - click on the picture of a paperclip to upload your picture from your hard drive.

That should be it.

Have you tried clicking where you want the cut to go even though the dot isn't there?

There are a few cases where the Polydraw tool fails, in those cases you can delete the problem face, use the add vertex tool to add vertices where you wanted the cut to go. Then select the opposing edges to manually create the two "cut" faces using the Form Face tool for each.

If you pressed the delete key with nothing selected it will delete the whole object. CTRL-Z will undo. Sometimes you have to press it a few times because operations may have multiple steps that are undoable.

Also if you have turned the bridge off, then switching between Model or Workspace sides can cause your work to be lost. It's best to work on one side or the other, and not to go back and forth unless necessary and then you should save your work first.

I wish I could help you out more stevan, but you haven't given us enough information to diagnose the problem.

No, tS7.6 is free with no restrictions, just re-run the install. Do note the other threads and the FAQ which cover start-up tips if something "goes wrong" - be sure to try those solutions prior to doing a complete uninstall and reinstall :)

HTH!
