Actually, they're not all that random I guess. Everytime I click on the Add Polygon tool the program crashes. Also when I try and use the Add Edge or Add Vertices tool the point or line (respectively) is all over the place. They seem to be stuck and then randomly snap to some other point. None of the points seem to relate to anything like exsisting edges. I've even checked that it doesn't relate to any hidden edges.

I'm running version 7.6

Vista 64-bit

nVidia 7950 GT with the 10/4/2007 drivers (163.75)

4GB RAM

I had to roll back the drivers because truespace froze on the splash screen after the update.

It seems that the crash happens in all different view modes (4 view, default, my own views). I haven't changed many of the settings since install since I'm learning. I did try fiddling with everything when I first installed and had to look up the "reset to default" button because I couldn't find anything after I apparently removed the library tab and stuff...

Anyway, I can't find the similar button in model view (if there is one) so I can't test that. That's what I was getting around to... Long winded, I know.

If there is no fix that's okay; consider it a bug report then. I emailed the dump when it crashed at one point. I was able to use poly splits/merges and such to do what I wanted, but the polydraw tool would have been great.

hate to say it being a Nvidia fan, but it could be your driver. I have an older card and it works just fine. but I have seen many posts about the newer models having problems.

Sounds like you have Point Snapping turned on. The extra lines are inference lines that indicate to you what it is snapping relative to.

The crashing is definitely a problem and the Polydraw tool is a VERY important tool. Can you record a video of the problem and post it?

I was stuck with the 163.75 drivers until the 177.xx series drivers became available. You can get them here:
