Hello Everybody...

I've been a user of TrueSpace for many years.. since ver 3.2... And I have just now mustered up the courage to put a question to a forum..

I'm working with 7.6 now and it is very cool... I have done several physical simulations and saved the them to key frames and they play back perfectly..

Except when I tried some cloth sims... They look great the key frames show up in the dope sheet and the anim clip shows up in the Story... But alas the animation will not play back.. The scrubber runs across the editor but no motion in the scene. Any help you give would be greatly appreciated..:jumpy:

Thanks and Cheers

cloth can't be keyframed. it's a real-time only effect for now.

Thank you BrotherX:jumpy:

On the dope sheet about a bazillion frame markers were created..

I wonder what they represent?

When you record physics animations, it generally records one keyframe per frame, which is why you see the creation of such a dense number of keyframes. This is unlike doing your own keyframing, where you only choose to record a keyframe at points when the animation changes - physics can't do that and can't use tweening since it has no idea what might change between one frame and the next, so it records every frame.

As noted cloth can't be recorded by default (there is no vertex animation recorded in keyframes), but a plugin exists which will allow it to happen as linked in an earlier reply.

HTH!
